Description of the Informatics Study Program
The more growing fast the development of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), the more the Informatics Study Program seeks to meet professional and entrepreneurial needs by producing competent graduates who master ICT. Due to many competencies in the ICT area, the Informatics Study Program concentrates on creating graduates who are competent in network security, corporate database and simulation programming.
In the scope of network security, the Informatics Study Program attempts to produce graduates who are able to design computer networks for small, medium and large companies, to implement network designs and to maintain them. These graduates are expected to have high-performance computer networks, easily maintainance and a fairly good security for the company’s operational needs.
In the scope of corporate database, the Informatics Study Program attempts to produce graduates who are able to design and implement a software and database systems for the needs of transaction data records for small, medium and large companies by using product database management systems at the level of large corporations or companies. They are also expected to have capability in creating software and Web-based database systems, so that, those can be accessed by more than one user through both local computer networks and Internet.
In the scope of simulation programming, the Informatics Study Program attempts to produce graduates who are able to design and implement a software that performs simulations and animations on various things in real life. Informatics graduates are expected to create a software as a product prototype (eg. elevator simulations and railroad location determination), a game software, a software which is implanted on portable devices, a modeling software and simulation of three-dimensional objects, a multimedia software or a software that simulates human intelligence in the scopes of education, image processing and others.
